Video Games and Remote Controlled Gadgets

When asked about playing adult video games, it wasn't a surprise that most of the team at Adult Gadget Guy played video games and are fans of adult video games.

The very first adult video game was Leisure Suit Larry. For a whole generation it's a notorious game that carried a lot of stigma by those who had heard of it but never played, and created a lot of amusement for those who had played it. (There was even a concerted effort to have the game banned.)

The graphics were not good, the story was weak and the rewards were only something young men and women would’ve enjoyed. Getting those tits out or the bikini off was a powerful motivator. It was one of the things that made you a legend in the playground if you played it and successfully convinced dancers, sex workers and strangers to show off their 8bit titties, panties and pussies. Better still we now have the revolution in remotely-controlled vibrators, masturbators and anal gadgets, which has resulted in being able to connect and sync video games with adult gadgets. But this not a review of video games. The Adult Gadget Guy reviewed the Lovense Gush 2 and the Aphrodisia Head Pleaser and their connectivity with adult video games.

What do we mean by connectivity? We reviewed connectivity based on the following criteria:

• ease of connecting an adult gadget to the video game

• stability of the connection

• responsiveness of an adult gadget to activity of the video game

• ease of troubleshooting and support offered

We also decided to test two different adult gadgets given differences in the mobile device applications used for the adult gadgets, and the fact not everyone buys Lovense gadgets.

Lovense Gush 2 Connectivity

The team were placing bets that the Lovense Gush 2 would be cinch for connectivity. There's good reason for that given Lovense has been working with video game developers for years on creating and developing this technology.

We fired up some adult video games and the Lovense Gush 2. We made sure the Gush 2 was connected properly through the Bluetooth connection with a laptop and followed the instructions on Lovense website. We established that Gush 2 was connected with the Lovense Remote app. Then we started the process of syncing Lovense with video games.

Unfortunately we found there was a great deal of mucking around to get the game to sync with the gadget. But when we did finally get them synced there was a lot of buzzing happening and there were patterns involved with certain cut scenes and straight vibrating for game play elements.

However, there were many occasions the connection was dropped. This meant mucking around to fix the connection and then more time mucking around getting the game and gadget synced. If we had been alone and trying to enjoy play time, these interruptions would have been extremely frustrating and undoubtedly leading to loss of inspiration, and further frustration of a different kind.

We then did the same test but through the Lovense Bluetooth Adapter. Their website declares that users of the adapter have a more stable connection when connecting a Lovense adult gadget to a PC.

The team followed the instructions to connect the Gush 2 with the adapter and then the Lovense Remote app which we downloaded to the laptop used for testing. We ensured the Gush 2 was then connected with the app and tried again.

Despite using the adapter there was still a lot of mucking around to get video games and adult gadget connected and working. However, once they were it was joy time with much celebrating in the Adult Gadget Guy lab.

However, there were still connection drop outs. They weren't nearly as frequent as before when there was just a connection with the laptop's Bluetooth option. The only upside was that there was a lot less mucking around getting everything synced and working again. However dropped connections are still drop outs needing to be fixed, even if they were less frequent.

We also found that many of the video games that said they supported remotely-controlled adult gadgets did not provide much in the way of technical support. In some cases they offered no technical information or guidance.

Aphrodisia Head Pleaser

Unlike the Lovense, the mobile application that is recommended for the Aphrodisia Head Pleaser looks very generic and almost like it's been developed on the cheap. There was very little optimism among the team at Adult Gadget Guy for good connectivity.

There was very good reason for the lack of optimism.

We found very few games supported the generic mobile application. The video games that did support the generic app provide zero technical information and zero support. It was essentially connect the adult gadget to the generic app and try to sync with the video game; good luck.

When we did finally get a working sync, the connectivity was terrible. We mean in no uncertain terms there were lots and lots of drop outs. Sometimes the connection would drop out before the video game finished with the loading screen.

What was even more frustrating was that on some occasions we couldn't re-establish a working sync despite having one. There was just so much mucking around and technical knowledge needed, any reasonable person would have given up as inspiration waned quite heavily.

However, where a connection was made we found the vibrations were good throughout gameplay and intensity changed depending on what was happening on screen. The cut scenes were not as exciting and there were no patterns. The only thing that changed was the intensity of vibrations.

Overall though the crazy level of connection drop outs made the whole effort a frustrating waste of time.

The Verdict

Connectivity was the biggest issue we had and it seems at times to be random at best and a cruel joke at worst.

We found that many of the video games that said they supported remotely-controlled adult gadgets did not provide much in the way of technical support. In some cases they offered no technical information or guidance other than to refer back to the gadget's website or check the application's information.

There's little doubt that the Lovense connection was the best with the majority of video games that offer such connectivity providing for Lovense primarily. It was clear that video games are wanting to have this option to improve sales and are working with other gadget manufacturers to deliver such connectivity, but Lovense is far and away the leader.

If you want to enjoy video games with play time then you're better off getting Lovense adult gadgets and get their Bluetooth adapter. Save those other adult gadgets and their apps for play time with your partner.
