It was easy enough to agree that we should review a paddle and the one we would review. The pain was really deciding if a paddle is an adult gadget.

Impact Play for Beginners

The Yiwu Faux Leather Spanking Paddle, is a perfect first time paddle for beginners. It's also a very solid paddle for the more experienced. However, we are certain there are better paddles for those with more experience. A point raised by a few of us was the fact that it was something that would work for couples, thruples etc where there's a mix of experience or difference in experience.

There was very little doubt around Adult Gadget Guy that this was a paddle that everyone could use, with a certain degree of control and allows for an easier introduction to impact play. Since there are some very good elements of this paddle, we still believe that it's a paddle that more experienced players would be happy enough to use. (but only if they didn't have their better paddles available.)

Benefits in Play

It's light weight but has a nice weight point near the end of the paddle so it is easier to use the paddle. It gives a nice slap and glow with light use, perfect for beginners and still arguably satisfying for those with more experience.

One thing we appreciated was the paddle having a wrist band attached to it. The handle of the paddle becomes a little more difficult to hold if it gets any liquids on it. It's easy enough to dry but that becomes a hassle. So the wrist band at least reduces the chance of having it fly out of your hand.

Materials and packaging

The faux leather is very good quality. The 5 year old paddle is the one in the blog header image! It gets a good amount of use but the owners take care of their adult gadgets - it gets cleaned, gently dried, stored in a gadget bag and put in their sex chest. So as you can see, when you care for it, you can get many years of good use out of it.

Even the paddle that is only about 3 months old looks amazing, it still looked as if it was just purchased. And there is confirmation of heavy usage over the week. Again proper care makes sure your precious adult gadgets last longer.

It is also clear that the core of the paddle is sturdy, yet flexible. None of the paddles owned around the group had heavy crease marks or discoloration or flaking. The core is very good given it is not the most expensive paddle on the market and you can buy it from low price online megastores.

It's a testament to the manufacturer that they've chosen the better quality materials to make the paddle with very sturdy stitching and solid core that has a great weight point for a low price adult tool.

Comparing Value for Money

If you are new to the pleasures of impact play and want something that is easy to use and provides the starter with a great introduction. Despite the fact that it can become slippery when wet (😉) it has a wrist strap and allows for easy control. For the price you can't go wrong and you will have a great toy even if you don't use it a lot, especially with a little care and maintenance.

The materials, despite the whole faux leather stuff, are quality and the paddle has been well made with a sturdy core.

It's definitely great for beginners, but offers something that can be used when there is a difference in experience. It will provide even experienced players with something they will find fun; making for a great introduction to paddle play.

The Verdict

It's a great paddle to own and is great for beginners and fun for us with more experience. The price is great for what you get and you can have a great looking paddle for years with care and maintenance. The addition of a wrist band is great so you don't lose control of the paddle or when it gets difficult to handle if it gets wet.

Worth getting for sure!
